Nestled in the in the hills of the Monadnock Region in Rindge, NH, you will find the Woodbound Inn and Restaurant. The Inn and surrounding land sits on the banks of Contocook Lake with a breath taking view of Mt. Monadnock and offers many family friendly activities, and amenities inside and out. I recently visited the Woodbound Inn, and spent some time with the new owners Rudy and Laura Rosalez. Rudy, and Laura were kind enough to show me around the Inn, and share some of their plans and dreams for the coming future.
The Woodbound Inn currently offers many guest rooms and lake side cabins, beach, walking trails, a beautiful banquet facility, and restaurant. The restaurant features what is hands down a 5 star menu, and is open to the guests as well as the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We spent some time walking the trails on the property as Rudy shared his plans for restoring the 9 hole golf course, and installing disk golf holes at the same time. As we walked towards the beach Rudy and Laura also showed me the snow mobile trails that run through property and out to the lake. As we continued our tour around the property we came up on the banquet hall where the wait staff and kitchen were preparing for a very elegant wedding which offered me the chance to see the banquet hall set up and in it's full beauty. With room to accommodate up to 180 guests, on site catering, and a beautiful landscape, the Woodbound Inn is an amazing venue to host your wedding ceremony and reception.
Finally we ended our tour with the Grove at Woodbound Restaurant. The restaurant is extremely inviting, and provides a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu is absolutely phenomenal and should definitely be your destination for fine dining in the Monadnock region. From Steak Canapè, Prime-Rib Beef Stew, to Filet Mignon, Pecan Chicken and Pumpkin and Squash Farfalle, this menu is one that will be hard to forget. The Prime-Rib Beef Stew is quite possibly the best beaf stew I have ever had, and should be very popular among the snowmobilers this winter.
